Hope this helps,
The Table Rock Village was constructed in the late 1970's. It was company housing for the Colorado Interstate Gas employee's that worked in the area between Rock Springs and Wamsutter. In 2000 El Paso corp. and Coastal Corp. merged so at that time El Paso became the owner of the Village. With companies down sizeing and technology the number of employee's that lived in the village decressed. In 2003 Anadarko purchased Table Rock Processing Plant from El Paso Corp.. With the purchase of the processing plant the village was part of the deal. With few of the plant personel and liablity issiues the village was closed down July 1, 2003. Anadarko at that time looked into many options to do with the village. None of them worked out. A private contractor, not a Andarko managor, approched them about moving them to Rock Springs. He moved more than half the houses out of the village. The new subdivision is full at this point. Anadarko is going to bulldoze the remainder of the village at this point.

Table Rock town site
Does any one know the name of the contractor or the anadarko people that are over the site. I have some questions I would like to ask them. When is this place scheduled to be destroyed?

Anadarko has a web site with contact info, probably the office out of Texas would be the best contact. They have a local office in Rock Springs and may be able to point you in the right direction. Table Rock is/was about 60 miles east of Rock Springs.

the houses in rock springs are over priced because of this boom, 2 bed 1 bath 1000 sqft home will cost you $160,000. not worth it. houses built in the 40's 50's and 60's. are selling for twice or three time what they were selling for 5yrs ago. i think its wrong

I lived in Wamsutter, about 25 miles away from Table Rock in the early 80s. The kids that lived in Table Rock went to to the elementary school in Wamsutter. I had many friends that lived there. The houses at that time were very nice split level homes. In the middle of the village was a gym that housed a community room, basketball court, racketball and a game room (you can see it in the pics above). Then it was a really nice place to live - very quiet and a great neighborhood for children to play outside.
I haven't been back there since we moved in the mid 80s. Very sad to see what has become of the village.

Jun-17-2009-2000hrs.-steve.mann@dhs.gov- I drove by this location today to show my son the unfortunate ghost-town. Gate was locked and neighborhood closed to the public. It's along Wyoming I-80 at mile marker 150.00 I think, approximately 1000 ft south of the hwy. About 7 yrs ago I dropped someone off there when I was a truck driver. It's sad to see it now.
