Thinking of moving to Fort Mill ? (York: houses, neighborhoods, buy)

Good Day everyone Im thinking of relocating my family to Fort Mill S.C. from massachusetts we were wondering if anyone could be so kind to tell us where the best schools, neighborhoods, etc etc...... we are comming out on the 1st of july to scout out the areas.

In York County the school district is divided into 4 diffrent school districts. With Fort Mill, SC being within District 4. With that said our district (Fort Mill) is not that large (yet)...so I feel very safe in saying all the schools within the district are the best.

To suggest some neighborhoods to you...if you could provide an apx. price range that will help in giving you some ideas on where to look (also if you want new, resell, size lot, etc.)

Hi-

We just moved here from PA where we were very close to lots of family , friends and involved with our community. I was worried about the change but after just a few short weeks I can already tell you it feels like home.

I have four girls ages 9,7,7,and 4 and there is so much to do in the area. We have a membership at Leroy Springs complex, season passes to Carowinds ( the amusment park ) There are also lots of parks and the Y.

Now for one piece of unasked for advice. Buy a little lower in price house then you can afford and get a boat for the lake. That is the one thing, well that and a pool , that we wish we had. Instead we went a little more on the house to get a full finished basement w 2 extra bedrooms for company, comming from the north yourself you can probably see the draw of that.

The schools are great from what I can tell. They gave us a tour of them when we were looking at houses.

I can tell you I LOVE my neighborhood. I live in WHitegrove in Fort Mill. The neighbors here rock. The day we moved in two brought us meals since then we have been to BBQ's and my girls have all made friends . Plus I met another mom on this forum who lives in the same neighborhood so It was like having a friend in place.
