Help!!! Garbage Collection Fort Mill
My wife and I are officially Fort Millers now as of last Friday and we have come to the stark reality that we know nothing about hiring a private garbage collection company. We live in Sutton Place off of Sutton road and are looking for a company that is reasonably priced and offers lawn debris (grass only even) collection as well as regular household trash. We called RVN but the responded as Morningstar, will not pick up grass, and do not even have a physical address.
I cannot find any information any where online about any companies in the area.
Please help us find a good company to provide us at least decent service. We are not picky.

Morningstar is probably the best you are going to get. All of the other companies are way more expensive and probably do not pick up debris. You might have to call a debris removal services like Galaxy Home Services.

Signature Waste
I just moved to Fort Mill (Knights Bridge) last week. I signed up with Signature Waste. They will take grass clippings (5 bags a week I think). There is also a York County Convenience Center on 160W past Baxter Village. Check to see if they will let you drop off yard waste.
I took all my moving boxes there to recycle, but they take lots of other stuff including household garbage.

That's good to know about Signature taking grass clippings. I'll have to see if my husband would consider a switch if the price is comparable to whoever we're using now (don't remember who that is).

Cost of Signature
I paid $203 for a years worth of service because it got me a discount to pay for a year. I believe it was 10% off. They bill quarterly otherwise.

That would be a little cheaper than Morningstar even before the 10%. Theirs is $66 every 3 months.

My husband confirmed we're with Morningstar. He also said the reason he chose them is that he heard good things about their reliability, whereas other services in Fort Mill may not be as reliable (i.e., may not pick up on assigned days, may not take all the garbage laid out for them, etc.)
When I mentioned the Signature price in this thread his comment was, "I'd rather stick with a company that charges mroe and is reliable than pay less for less reliability."
Now, I don't know if Signature is a service with less-than-reliable service, but I *do* know that Morningstar has been great about our trash pickup every week - even when we crammed the curb with stuff after we moved in.

We walked around and look at canisters out by the curb last night. We called several and Select Sanitation does take grass clippings. They will pick up 3 bags per week and charge $57 quarterly for service (includes weekly recycling)
