Bloom's parent company Delhaize owns several brands and have over 1700 stores Food Lion, Reid’s, Bloom, Bottom Dollar, Harveys, Hannaford, and Sweetbay.
I think I read somewhere that they where going to remove the Bloom brand and replace it with one of their other brands.
How many craptastic FoodLions can there be? I agree that Bloom's prices are very high but the area is glutted with Food Lions.
I doubt all Food Lion stores are negative. Some of its newer stores are significantly better than some direct competitors.
In addition to rebranding the Charlotte market's Bloom stores to Food Lion, some locations should improve its amenity offerings (i.e. pharmacy departments in stores not adjacent/near an attached/free standing drug store within miles).
Will Bloom in Fort Mill Hwy 21 be converted to Food Lion?
Not all Blooms will become Food Lion's.
I called the Bloom and they said they are still doubling coupons. Something that Food Lion does not do. I asked how long they would keep doubling coupons (meaning they are having the same daily promotion whether they are a Food Lion or not) and the answer was that they would stop doubling when they got the word.
I saw a news story where not all Bloom are changing over.
I hope the Regent Parkway store stays the same.
If not, they lose me and all other avid coupon users.
I'm in Rock Hill and have 4 Food Lions, no need to drive up Hwy. 21.
If it stays Bloom they'll see me.

Regent Parkway will be a Food Lion and they are even making current employees apply for positions.
Jobs at risk as Fort Mill's Bloom converts to Food Lion
Regent Parkway grocery to be a Food Lion
maybe the new, but curiously delayed, Publix, will begin ground breaking this year.
