We have Earthfare in SC, we have Whole Foods in Charleston and Mt Pleasant, and we have farmers markets all over the state and in the lowcountry lots of organic stands

Its amazing ... Charlotte, has very few organic grocery stores, the few that are, dont have good store hours. Having recently moved from Minneapolis, find it difficult to adjust in CLTs unhealthy lifestyle.
Any updates, since last post on stores closer to uptown charlotte ?

I don't think anyone mentioned Talley's Greengrocers on East Blvd in Dilworth. That is where I go most often. They have a wonderful selection of prepared foods, wines and fresh fish/ meats as well as the usual organic goods.

Talley's
I can't believe no one has mentioned Talley's Green Grocery. It's a great natural/organic food market in the Dilworth Neighborhood. It's off of East Blvd (at the corner of Scott Avenue). And down the street from that is a smaller store, I think its called Berryfield Market, which sells organic products. It's on the corner of Kenilworth and East Blvd.

I hope this helps!

Earthfare is located on Johnston Road in Ballentyne and will open another store in Southpark shortly. Wholefoods has announced intentions to open 3 or four stores in Charlotte, but none are opened so far. Trader Joes, I believe, is weeks away from opening on Rea Road, between Rt. 51 and I-485.

Uh, actually Trader Joes was founded in 1964 in Pasadena, Ca. Interestingly enough they began as a part record shop part fod store. Yea, I'm a TJ's dork and can't wait until they open up in Charlotte. My wife and I just moved to the Greenville, SC area 3 weeks ago from Los Angeles and miss Trader Joes sooooo much.
