Moving to area (Rock Hill, Lancaster, Fort Mill: apartment, rent, house)

Hi All,
I am looking at a job which would cover Rock Hill and Lancaster. I am currently living in Central Florida and am single with 2 little dogs, no kids (grown child) and love the outdoor life. What would the recommendations be for a living area and social life?

If the housing part of River Walk is open by the time you move that might be ideal. It is in Rock Hill near fort Mill. Has bike and walking trails along the river and lots of other cool stuff planned. You might also like Baxter in Fort Mill. I propably would'nt suggest Lancaster for housing but then again I do not know much of Lancaster. Good luck. this area is great for outdoor living.

Come to Fort Mill. Everyone loves Baxter Village, and the Anne Springs Close Greenway offers thousands of acres of trails and recreation.

Once you move here, for social activities, check out http://weekend10.com/ (http://http//weekend10.com/ - broken link). They post a list every Wed of the top 10 Charlotte events for the coming weekend and even include things to do in Rock Hill & Fort Mill plus areas north of Charlotte like Concord & Davidson. Between the top 10, more events and additional events page, they usually have anywhere from 30-50 events listed, many of which are free.
