This heat we are having is a killer. Poor puppy I am glad someone called the Sheriff's Dept. The same thing happened in Home Depot this weekend but no cops called. Home Depot employees saw the dog and the owner answered a page. These people are so dumb.

I like what the deputy asked the dog owners if they were willing to sit in the van for 30 minutes without air conditioning, only slightly ajar windows, but they refused to answer.

I have called the police in Food Lion parking lot two years ago. One little baby strapped in car seat and older child perhaps 2 or 3 in backseat of Volvo. Windows up and 90 degrees outside. Both crying and hair wet from the heat.

Food Lion employee paged owner of Volvo she came out of store as the police arrived. Just ran in the store for a minute. I left I didn't want to get my baseball bat out of backseat and hit the woman and end up in jail myself.
