Speaking of opening one in Tega Cay, just a few weeks ago, the owner told my husband that he is still working on getting everything finalized for the one in Stonecrest. He said it is still not a "total done deal" ... Hopefully it will be soon!!

Be careful not to sit too close to the preparation...they had an unfortunate incident a while back. But other than that I have heard good things.

Did it have anything to do with fire? Just asking cause I have noticed the flame gets really high and hot and I thought to myself, glad I was sitting back in my chair!!

You like Big Wok though? I got takeout from there for the first time a couple of weeks ago and actually didn't even eat it...SO greasy! We actually really like Liu Liu's...the food is always fresh, if a bit more expensive.

It depends on what you get...most of the time we get steamed food from there...but last night got sesame tofu (fiance is a vegeterian) and it was yummy. Plus for me, regualr Americanized Chinese food is like American pizza...it SHOULD be greasy. $15 at Liu's Liu's barely got enough for one person, let alone two. A dinner should be enough for either two people or have left overs
I will say that last week Big Wok did screw up our order and pretty bad. Only time it's happened though and we have ordered from there at lest 20 times. Also Big Wok had a poor grade in early April, but the next day they were reinspected and got a 98.

according to my parents on Sundays they open at 2:30 and it gets packed (but the service was excellent).
Anyone else been there yet?

Thye close at 2:30 on Sunday. We went a few days okay for late lunch/early dinner. It was okay, but not enough of the itmes are fresh. Almost everything is from a can, or so it tasted. The beans tasted like store brand canned beans and were not goos. The soup was Campbell's chicken and rice. The cornbread and fried okra, however, were good.

To me La Charanda is a hidden little gem in Rock Hill. The first time we walked in we thought it was going to be a fast food joint...we were pleasantly surprised to walk in and find it a nice sit down restaurant.
We also like Rey Azteca located in Lake Wylie, SC (just over the Buster Boyd Bridge). They did open another location in Fort Mill (off Hwy160) but we have not tried that location (friends of ours have been and said they really liked it).
Now here comes my problem with Italian Food....I have never cared for the food at Village Pizza in Fort Mill yet most everyone else I know...likes it? To be fair though...I have only ever had their buffet and have never ordered anything off their menu.
Mama Mia's as I stated above is what my family prefers (again...we have only had their buffet)..but with that said...I do prefer their buffet over Village Pizza's.
We have also been to Papa Pino's in Fort Mill (over by Carowinds) and again I was not impressed. I had their Calzone the first time, and their buffet the next.
My personal choice is DeMarco's again located in Fort Mill. Yet it seems that most folks I know fall into the catergory of really liking it..or they don't like it (there seems to be no inbetween)?
Okay with all that said...I've made myself hungry now!
|
Just wanted to mention that DeMarco's has a new owner now.
