I will tell you that we gutted and remodeled the entire restaurant, it's nothing like what it was before in every sense of the word. I am a neat freak.. Did I mention I was Cuban? As per the authenticity of our food, well it's what I know and what I grew up eating. My husband is Italian/American, but I think he may have been Cuban in another life. He has embraced our culture, language and food as his own. I would love for you and your wife try our restaurant again. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi! We met Joe in the parking lot after we had dinner there about 3 weeks ago. He did say he couldn't name it Joe's Cafe, as it wouldn't go very well with the Cuban theme! But I agree, the place was spotless and the food was good. Soon, you may have to expand since it gets crowded in there past 7 pm on a Friday. Looking forward to trying new stuff. It does help that my family who has tried it the first time like Cuban food as we are travelling to Boca in the spring. We have to visit one more time before then.!

I have spoken of this place so many times, on this forum and it gives me great pleasure to say that not only is the food excellent, the ambiance of the place is perfect and the owners are some of the nicest people, I have ever meet. Just last night, we were there and brought some friends from Concord, to try and sample, the best Cuban Cuisine in NC/SC. Well, as usual, there was no disappointment. We were all received with the warmest and most heart felt greetings,as if we were part of their family. The food and Sangria was absolutely appetizing , to say the least. I can tell you that our friends will be loyal customers. They were so happy and satisfied with the whole experience. They are bringing some of their friends down to come and see what made their nigh so special. I strongly urge you to drop by and try their food, friendliness and have a special time, that you won't soon forget. Welcome to the forum.

I have not been in town during the evenings yet but it's on my short list. Between my wife on-call for work, me on-call opposing weeks and the little one getting cranky by 19:00 it's so tough to get out. Soon hopefully....
