Just wondering what the average pay rate is for RNs in the Ft Mill/Charlotte area? I am thinking of a move to the area and would like some info. Thanks.

Default Pay rate for RN in Fort mill area

Hi Jessica,

I am in the process of a move from Dallas,Tx to Fort Mill,SC and I have spent a lot of time figuring this pay thing out... I have 6 years of experience in L&D and all 4 hospitals that I have interviews with, the base rate is at or near $23/hr...big pay jump backwards for me. Some of the local hospitals offer "weekender" pay where you are committed to work every sat/sun but make $30/hr. Some even still offer the "Baylor" plan where you work Sat/Sun and still get paid for 36 hours. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I am a L & D nurse too. Doesn't sound like the pay is much better then it is here in SW FL. Are you moving to Ft Mill? What hospitals are you looking at? I am a stay home mom right now but plan to work again once we move. I can't believe the pay isn't more than $23.hr?!! I guess the weekend plan sounds good but I like weekends off with my husband sometimes too. I will have to do some research. When are you planning to move? We are going to Ft Mill in Sept to look at some developments. We shall see. Thanks again.
