I just moved here from Atlanta and am building a custom home in Springfield, not one of the Golf Villas, but the larger ones. We looked everywhere and could not find any other neighborhood nearly as nice with a pool. To me, the pool is a must with kids and the hot summers in the south. There is also the full time activities director so the neighborhood is more like a country club feel than just another amenity neighborhood.

The neighborhood is very hot real estate wise and always will be with it's location near 77, golf course, beautiful custom homes and amenities. The Elementary school, Middle school and High School are all right there less than three minutes from home.

I have seen some other people on here say that is way outside town but coming in from another city,I love the location because it is closer to Ballantyne. Most of the shopping needs, doctors, etc that I have needed are all over there. I am currently renting a home in Tega Cay while my house is built and I hate it over here because it adds 15 minutes to all the places I seem to need to be.

To me, there is no comparison between Kimbrell Crossing and Springfield. Just drive through them each back to back. The eyesore at the beginning of that neighborhood, Confederate Flag on the property that is visible inside the gates, was a deal breaker for me. Who wants to look at that???

There are many new phases going on in Springfield and Standard Pacific has not released theirs yet so for the similar pricing as Kimbrell, I feel Springfield is way more valuable, will always resell better because of amenities.

The data just came out that Springfield was the fastest selling neighborhood in Charlotte market below Sun City (the 55+ place). Markets change of course, but if you look big picture, it should always sell better. Really, when do golf front properties sell worse than cookie cutter subdivisions??? Never.

You cant go wrong in there.

Springfield is a great place to live building is off the hook here now!!David Weekly is now selling and there are still opportunities to build custom although pricing has gone up a bit in the last year. I like that is country without being to far away and the schools we are zone for are wonderful. We moved here from Baxter Village as we wanted more elbow room and have not been dissappointed in our choice. best of luck!
