Default We Are Lancaster Signs

Hanging plastic signs in town does not change Lancaster. People change things not signs.

Couldn't agree more. I actually found the article somewhat representative of my experiences as a Lancaster resident.

I would tend to agree. Why not take it out on the people that sat there and interviewed? They are the ones who skewed the story.

I wondered that myself as I passed the billboard just outside of town that always has the "Taylor Said" statement. (Who is Taylor? Why should we care what he said?)

This week's statement "TAYLOR SAID UP YOURS CNN".

Class act, all the way.

The outrage is over this story which ran on CNN's front page in January.

I am not sure who Taylor is either. I have traveled to Lancaster for years and always saw that sign. Someone at one time told me Taylor was the child of the Kennel owner. Not sure if it is true or not.

Sometimes, truth hurts. If they don't like it, they can do something about it. Or they can **** and moan and hang signs.

It sure seems like they've chosen the latter.

I've seen this referred to as a "hit piece", but no one's saying the direct quotes were made up. CNN held up a mirror to the people of Lancaster, and they really don't like the reflection.

The signs proclaim Lancaster is "Proud and Progressive". I'll give them that Lancaster may be proud, but it's delusional to proclaim the area is at all progressive.

Scary folks, my neighbors.

Wow.... Im glad I dont live amongst most of those folks. I dont think most of them got the memo that religion and government are 2 separate things.

I try and keep my mouth shut on politics down here, because it always turns religious. Im not religious, and dont really enjoy getting into those debates. People are free to believe in anything they want, including an elected official. An elected official should do the best job he or she can, and do the best job for this country. Everyone wants to mix religion into it, and, thats a bad formula.

Lancaster is a small town that is tucked away from the major highway and hustle and bustle. People want to stay there because they are set in their ways. The picture is already painted for them, they wrnt on camera, they were quoted directly, nothing they should be ashamed of, if thats what they really meant.
