If you are working in your yard ... cutting your grass ... or have children playing outside ... please check good for ticks when they come inside. Hubby cut the grass yesterday and had two ticks on him.

We had a mild winter and I am afraid we are going to have a wicked pest problem this summer. Be careful of ticks!

Hey Carolina woman, "Wicked" is descriptive word often used by folks from Massachusetts. Have you always been a Carolina Woman?

No kidding...in just 5 min. in our partial woods today, the dog and I both picked up ticks! The dish soap on a cotton ball trick worked! Just soak it in soap and hold it on the tick for 30 sec. He will lose his grip and you can easily take him off.

LOL Born and raised right here ... so I was a Carolina Kid, then Teen and now I am Woman. Long ago I was born in a wonderful Catholic Hospital, St Phillips (long gone now.) The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis operated the hospital. The hospital was closed in 1958.

But I have traveled out of the state. During the Vietnam era we lived at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland ... but we would leave on Friday and head back to the Carolinas ... get up Sunday morning and back to Maryland.

We have a Boxer and he is on Sentinel Flavor tabs for fleas and a tick collar but he still ended up with a tick on his ear! He had an allergic reaction to Frontline and we can't use that on him.

I hate blood sucking ticks!!!

I am afraid we are going to be eat up with ticks, fleas and mosquitoes this summer due to the mild winter.

Yeah, I don't use any tick products on my dogs...heard too many Frontline nightmares. The tick is still going to bite the dog regardless. All Frontline does is kill him after he bites. Haha, we have 4 dogs actually but just one gets ticks!
