Passport (Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Gaston: post office, park, area)

Is there a place to get your passport in Fort Mill or Rock Hill?

I'm pretty sure that none of the post offices in Fort Mill or Rock Hill handle passports. There are 7 Post Offices that handles passports in the area from my understanding 4 are in Charlotte; 1 in Gastonia; 1 in Mint Hill and 1 in Matthews that handles passports.

I can tell you this from experience; expect a long wait time; the line for passports in normally pretty long and moves very very slowly. They also only have the passport window open during certain times and certain days which is what causes the lines to be long and painfully slow.

I got mine at the Post Office on Park Rd off of Hwy 51. Down the road from Panera Bread. You can print everything off beforehand from the website which even gives you the current wait time to get the passport returned.

We had our son's passport done at the Matthews PO and the wait time was almost nothing. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes.

In Rock Hill you can get passports at the government offices on Heckle.

Agree with DukeFan. We got our sons PP at the same offices on Heckle.

I tried 3 times to get mine in Charlotte, and every time had to wait hours - and even then, they stopped taking people 2+ hours before they closed.
I went to Gastonia first thing in the morning and was done in 15 minutes. I would go first thing, not late afternoon.
