lovemy3kids is on a distinguished road
Default Indian land elementary school

Has anyone had their child in a private school before sending them to ILEMS? If so, how did they compare? We are new to ILEMS and are questioning the education my children are receiving. I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience. I have done a lot of research and can't find anyone who has pulled their kids from private school and put them in ILEMS or vice versa. Thanks.

I cant speak from IL experience, but I can speak from my own. I attended a Detroit public school grades k-2. Grades 3 through most of 7th I attended Catholic school, then back to public school in the burbs of Detroit. The education in public schools was far behind the private school. The dvantage the public schools had is that they are better at preparing you for real life and the real world. So I wouldnt question IL schools themselves; it's just a difference between public and private.
