I don't know about York Cty, but we just got back from one in Midland (Cabarrus Cty) called Riverbend Farm. It had a tractor ride out to a pumpkin patch where you pick your own off the vine. It also had some fun huge slides for the kids, a little store with ice cream, etc. It took about 35 minutes from Union Cty - not too bad. Here's the link to their website:

Found these here Pumpkin Patches and more!* Find a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay ride and more near you! with a quick google search so I don't know if the info is still valid. The only ones I am familiar with is Hunter Farm in Weddington, NC and Windy Hill Orchard in York, SC, both are pretty good though.

Black's Peaches - Strawberries, peaches, tomatoes, sweet corn, apples
York, SC. Phone: 803-684-2333. Picking strawberries mid-April to June. Price not set. Thirty varieties of peaches; available June 1-October 1. Apples from August through September. Fall pumpkin tours also available. Take-home containers, restrooms, drinking water available. 8 am-6 pm, Mondays-Saturdays, 1-6 pm, Sundays. Directions: On S.C. 5, 3 miles west of York at intersection with Springlake Road. Look for signs.

Hunter Farms in Weddington has a great pumpkin patch and does hay rides and petting zoo...
