Hopefully it will open soon. They have been saying they are going to open for several months now, but nothing yet.

Have also heard that Phil's Deli, NY style deli, is opening a branch in the building with the dentists near the Publix.

Hickory Tavern is rumored to be opening a branch towards the end of 2014. Not sure we need 2 sports bars opening. Not something I'm interested in going to much anyway. The noise of all the TVs, drinking gangs, etc. is rather distracting. Food alone will have to be very good and reasonably priced to make me want to patronize them. But that's just my opinion!

We enjoy Hickory Tavern, that would be a nice addition. Drinking gangs? Hickory Tavern is fairly tame and not really just a sports bar. I see lots of families at the one up in Toringdon off Johnston rd.

I'm not sure they have even picked a spot yet. Apparently the owner told someone who lives down here that he has plans, but it probably won't happen until towards the end of 2014.

Saw on Hickory Tavern's website this weekend that a new location IS coming to Indian Land "soon". Curious if it's going in by the Publix or somewhere that hasn't been built yet.

Apparently an employee was heard to say that it would be located near the Harris Teeter. Not sure where unless it is the open lot near the BoA ATM or the open lot beside the Wendy's. There are available spaces to rent in the building behind Red Bowl but they are too small for a restaurant unless they removed all the walls inside. Either that or across the street somewhere, I guess.

Would probably be better closer to the Publix since Reagan's is at HT.
