I don't know anyone that works for Red Ventures. I often wonder with them supposedly hiring all the time if they are expanding or is their turnover rate really high?
I would think it would have been better for them to go to Clover instead of Lancaster but I am no demographic expert. It would really help that area to pick up, schools are still good and housing isn't bad either. Then the traffic on 160 wouldn't get worse than it is now.

It was in the newspaper this week, York is losing 200+ jobs. The plant that manufactures filters is closing down in 2014.
A majority of the cars will go right our of the parking lot to NC every day.

I'm no tax expert, but no matter where these employees reside, state income tax on any individual income earned at this facility will be paid to the great State of South Carolina. That's a nice "win" in my book.
I wonder how much of that tax revenue will be offset by the massive tax breaks and overall perks the state gave to them to build here? I read yesterday that Comporium is even chipping in to fund their communications bills.
This will probably be one step better than the City of Light who never lived up to their end of the bargain from all the breaks they got when they moved in.
