Developers unveiled a plan for a redevelopment of Rock Hill, S.C.'s former textile district they say will create 1,000 jobs.
Knowledge Park is a 23-acre tract that would connect Rock Hill to Winthrop University and would include student housing, office space, retail space and senior housing.

This has been in the works for years now, around a decade. Something of that scale will take much longer to happen in a city the size of Rock Hill, but with an actual developer now behind the plan, it will finally happen. It will be developed in phases over a period of 5-6 years. The ball got rolling when the old cotton factory was developed a couple of years ago and it has been a success.
