Hi all, (Notice I didn't put "vs." as I don't want to start a competition) My family and I are moving as soon as our house in PA sells (hopefully soon!). We have seen a few new developments pop up that I believe would be Nations Ford HS area. Are there any parents out there with children at Nations Ford that could provide input on the new school? Does the curriculum offered seem to be the same offered at Fort Mill HS? Is everyone happy? What's the school like? We've heard such good things about Fort Mill HS and what they offer, but are worried that the developments might not be slotted for the school but Nations Ford instead. I greatly appreciated your input. Thank you!
Hi all, and thanks for your replies. I have read up on the courses and curriculum offered at Fort Mill HS and it sounded great. I just wanted to find out if Nations Ford offers the same curriculum? They sure don't offer anything like that here in PA! It doesn't matter about the age of the school to us, just that its a great school (one of the main reasons for choosing Fort Mill). Sure wish they had all that when I was in high school. Thanks!
This is the director of secondary education for Fort Mill schools. I corresponded with the elementary counterpart about Spanish classes and she was helpful. Why not ask the person in charge of curriculum for the whole district?
Yes, the curriculum in both is the same. Nations Ford High School was built because FMHS was overcrowded. They are 2 high schools within the same district. I'm originally from PA myself, and I'm not sure what part of PA you are from but if you are familiar with the Central Bucks School District splitting their high schools, it's the same thing. They bacame CB east and CB west. Same curriculum, 2 schools because of growth. Nations Ford is a newer building obviously, but the education is the same.
Thanks Jennazer for your input. I had taken once person's advice and asked the school and they said that the curriculum is the same - which is great. Sure wish my house would sell. We have a showing Saturday afternoon - wish us luck! We are ready to move!
