There are so many other ares beside Baxter Village. I'm sure you find something that fits.

There are many neighborhoods that I bet will be run down 15-20 years from now but I don't think Baxter will be one of them.
I agree with you. I think Baxter is nice but lets hope it does not meet Celebration's fate. Short sales and rapid price reductions from what I saw not long ago. Baxter has much better future due to good planning. Our daughter thought of moving there but now will wait.

I don't think Baxter will meet the same fate as Celebration's...due to the fact that Fort Mill isn't the vacation mecca that Orlando is?

That - and Celebration had problems do in large part just to being in Florida - and most of the state has suffered greatly due to out of control speculation.

The other thing to consider is the resale market within Baxter. While new home prices are staying steady with the builders, I know some folks selling homes are reducing prices in order to move (many are moving WITHIN Baxter). I have been here for 6 years and I love it. Neighbors are great. I feel sometimes like it is Mayberry. However...we do also have our share of car break-ins and community property damage - so it's not ALL Pleasantville.
