Default Kings Mountain State Park

Has anyone ever camped here before? In your opinion would it be safe for a family to tent camp at this location? I appreciate your responses.

Yes, our family has been. We loved it and it seemed very safe. There is a living farm there and it was fun for the kids.

Post Great Place to Camp

I was the Scoutmaster for Troop 108 in Ft. Mill for 7 years and Troop 333 in Lake Wylie for 3 years and we camped at King's Mountain a number of times in their group camping area. Never had any trouble. It would also be nice for your family to camp at Crowder's Mountain or the very nice camp areas at Copperhead Island, part of McDowell Park on Lake Wylie. All three have great welcome centers or nature centers with special films and information about the area.
