Currently building at the Retreat @ Rayfield in Indian Land SC and looking @ October move in date. Does anyone that has gone through the same thing have any information on this community? Especially if there is anything to watch out for with the Builder, LENNAR!!!

Thanks

Hi Kunlexy. I do not have any info for ya but I am coming down from Ohio to visit a few builders due to a relocation coming up. I am meeting with Lennar Sat the 22nd. Looking at Retreat development (Traditions). How do you like the community? Did you find that you had to add a bunch of upgrades? It looks like a very nice area (online) and would love to hear your experience thus far.

Foster123,

Welcome to Charlotte. I just had my p-dw with the builder today and am becoming more and more convinced that I have made a good choice (knock on wood).

As per upgrades, Lennar is generally among the few builders that have a lot of Pre-included features. With the exception of Gourmet Kitchen, Screened Porch and hardwood in the living area (depends on plan), most other things are Pre-included. Plus they use offer a discount of 20k(not sure if they still do) that could be used towards upgrades.

If you have narrowed down ur choice to Indian Land SC then u Retreat is the place to be..

Regards,

Hi Kunlexy2901,

I have started looking for a house in Indian Land, SC. I have visited the Walnut Creek and Retreat @ Rayfield, I like both of them. I am trying to decided between Lennar & DR Horton. Do you mind telling me more about your experience with Lennar? What was the base price of the home you went for and how much did it end up costing you? Thank you.

Hi Vicky_home,
My base price including the lot premium was 331k. With very minimum upgrade, I ended up with 345k. Note that this was @ the time they were offering 20k incentives towards upgrade and design options (April/May). Not sure how much they offered now, last time I spoke to the sales rep, she said something like 12k.

Other than that the neighborhood is exploding very fast and the prices might go even farther up.

Regards,
