Depends on what you are looking for as to what you would think is best.

You'd have to specify what you're looking for in a neighborhood, but in that price range you can start with Baxter Village, Massey, Bridgemill, Lakeridge, Sutton Place, Waterside at the Catawba, Sutton Mill, Hawk's Creek, etc. If you tell me what's important to you in a neighborhood, I can narrow that down for you a bit and suggest some others. Good luck, you're going to LOVE it here!

Is there anything in Baxter Village that has a lot size of at least 1/3 of an acre?

Cut that in half, and you might get a hit. We've driven through, they certainly don't value yard size.

Baxter you'll be hitting the very top end of that range as well as Springfield. You'll have better luck with other neighborhoods. It really depends what you're looking for. If you're looking for 4 + bedrooms it will put you in a very different price range than a 3 bedroom house. Just from my experience as a recent buyer.

Right now of the 12 homes currently on the market in Baxter Village, 3 of them are over 1/3 of an acre.

For proximity to 77, you can't beat some of the neighborhoods off Pleasant Road - Fair Oaks, Pleasant Glen, Beacon Knoll (smaller homes sometimes will fall under 400), Bailiwyck or Melbourne.

If you're looking at Baxter Village you could go a little further south and look at Riverwalk.
