I know people are talking about the traffic. My question is if you live and work in Fort Mill, how is the traffic if you don't need to leave the area? Can you get to shopping, doctors, entertainment, etc without being stuck in traffic? Is there everything you need without having to leave these areas?

I've only been in Fort Mill a few times but I never saw any major traffic issues within the area, and there are plenty of grocery stores and physicians in the area. I don't know what you mean by entertainment but there are movie theatres, bowling alleys, and similar in the area

The traffic is congested when people are going to work and coming home. The rest of the day it's a breeze. It depends on what time you have to be at work as to what you will get in. I leave the house at 8 and it's not that bad, but I only live 2 miles from the interstate. If I lived out in Tega Cay, it would be a lot harder. There is not any malls in Fort Mill, but there are several close by. If I could, I would just make my appointments and do my grocery shopping etc during non rush hour times.

I think it probably depends on where you are. I live on South Doby's Bridge road and I can get to my son's school, Publix, Indian Land and Ballantyne all in very reasonable times. I very rarely ever leave my little area of town and I don't feel it's congested at all. Living near Baxter or Tega Cay is probably a totally different feeling.

As Gapeach69 said though, most of Fort Mill is rarely congested during the hours of 9 to 11:30 and 1 to about 3:30.
