Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who has experience installing/suggesting an antenna?
Don't need or want satellite. Have tried the flat indoor types without much luck. Thanks

We used the flat leaf kind of antenna in our guest bedroom and found we had to have it sitting in a window with a southern exposure to get a reliable signal.

Those Leaf style antennas have limited options. I would select a real antenna and place outside or in the attic. A 4 bay or 8 bay UHF antenna is good for Charlotte, or the Clearstream 2V or 4V. Also in York County, you can receive Columbia and Greenville-Spartanburg stations with a good UHF/VHF combo antenna such as Winegard 7697 or 7698. And possibly consider a low gain amplifier from Channel Master or Winegard.

Default Antenna, want to get rid of cable

Does anyone have any updates to this thread as far as suggested antennas go? We live about 40 miles south of Charlotte and want to get rid of cable TV the prices just went up and our contract is up.

I installed this one:

Winegard FlatWave Air Outdoor Antenna-FL6550A - The Home Depot

Works great, get about 51 channels on it (live in Indian Land). I just took off the old DirecTV satellite and installed this on the mount since the cable was already wired up.
