Default Neighborhoods in Fort Mill ? Lynnwood farms

Hi all,

In my searching it looks like Lynwood farms may be one of the only neighborhoods in Fort Mill SC district that offers 1/2 acre or more with most going over an acre. Anyone know about it or any other neighborhoods we should consider ? I would like a real neighborhood feel but still have some privacy and be comfortable with my kids playing outside. We need to be in the $350,00 or under price range.

Thanks in advance

Hey there - Well, don't quote me...but I think your correct when you state that Lynnwood Farms might be the only one with that much acreage, your price range, and within the FMSD.

When we first moved to the area (3 years ago) we in fact looked at Lynnwood Farms but felt it was to far out for us. Since that time though there has been many more homes that have cropped up and it no longers feels as far as it once did. Lynnwood Farms is off of Doby's Bridge, about as far out as you can go and still be in Fort Mill (York County). Which if your husband will be working in Lancaster, SC this could make for a very good setup for him While I can tell you the community looks nice, and safe...I am unable to tell you anything about the homes and how well they are constructed. I do happen to know someone that has moved into Lynnwood Farms recently...they seem to like the neighborhood (I know the kids love being close to the equestrian center) I will check to see how they feel about the builders, and such. The only other thing I have heard is due to the growth on Doby's Bridge it can back up a little bit during peak travel times since it is only a 2 lane road.

Question Planning to retire to Lake Wylie, SC

Hi , just returned from the Lake Wylie area. Am a native Long Islander and plan to buy a home. Family is in a new development Mill Creek Falls. Looks like a lovely place.

Anyone out there have any input? I am nervous and scared to uproot, but at the same time excited.

New home, people and things to explore.

You are very welcome...I more than likely will not be talking to my friend (in Lynnwood Farms) until midweek...but as soon as I know something...I'll post it here.

Good Luck on Thursday with your scouting trip.

Hey there Welcome62 - hope you enjoyed your stay while you were here. We are located on Lake Wylie too...just on the other side of the Buster Boyd Bridge. So do you have any idea where you are going to land?...possibly Mill Creek Falls too?
