Does anyone have any feedback or recommendations on the Anne Springs summer camps? We are specifically looking at the Adventure Seekers camp. Looking for info on the quality of the camp, instructors, daily agenda, etc.

Our son has enjoyed them. This will be his third year (8, 9 and now 10 years old). The "meat" is 9am - 4pm. We haven't done the pre or post as our work schedules allowed us to do the main camp but I'm not sure they do a lot in those times.

The counselors have been very engaged. Mostly high school & college kids. Fridays are his favorite day - they go to swim at the Greenway pool and then come back and do water fights. During the week a variety of activities like hiking, archery, building forts, low ropes course, ga ga ball, etc. They will probably get pretty dirty. Kayaking they have done too. Teach them about animals (e.g. Turtles & Snakes).

I also really like that they have a rec center with a huge gym so they are able to eat inside in the a/c out of the heat. They can also use it if it rains. Sometimes they will do indoor games like pedal trike races, etc.

Another great camp is Camp Canaan in Rock Hill (my son's favorite - hands down best counselors - no cell phones in site ever and they keep them crazy busy). Camp Thunderbird is popular but it is the wrong direction for our work. We also enjoy Camp Invention. We've done several of the 1/2 day Greenway camps and son has always enjoyed them. They are just harder to swing with our work schedules.
