Default Possible move to Clover

Hi all,

Just got back to CT from Rock Hill NC. Found a place in clover that was just right for my family and I. I was wondering if anyone has some information about Clover as far as schools go. I need the real story and not just what the salesperson for the development gave us.

I would like any opinion good or bad. I need to know both.

Thanks from CT
PS. I will work from home.

Clover has very good schools. I'd consider them just a notch below Fort Mill. We considered Clover since you can get more house for the money than in Fort Mill, but the commute to Uptown Charlotte was further than what I wanted to do every day.

I concur with BKQC (more bang for your buck in Clover, SC)

..if my children were not within the Fort Mill School District....Clover would be my second choice.

Best of luck to you!

Default Thanks

Thank you for the input. We have considered clover meadows as a possible choice for our new home. Now the challenge is getting our house in CT to sell. Hopefully we see you soon!

I agree with you on the clover area. You can really get some good values in that area, plus the roads are finally catching up with the growth.

Default crowders creek is highly rated

I'm not sure which clover schools your kids would be attending, but all are good and Crowders Creek is rated just as high as the Fort Mill schools. Check greatschools.net

This might give you facts and data that you are looking for:
York 2 EAA School Report Cards 2007 - South Carolina Department of Education

I have 2 children in Crowders Creek and have been very pleased. We moved out of Charlotte and have been very happy. One bonus we found as our oldest son progressed, is that at Crowders (it may be that way district wide) the gifted classes are taught by gifted teachers and the whole class is gifted students.

Good luck selling your house in CT.

We moved to Lake Wylie 10 years ago from NH. Our daughter has attended the Clover schools and she is doing just fine. Crowders Creek Elementary school has won Palmetto awards for excellence several years in a row. There is a new middle school being built now. The high school and jr high are great.

You need to check out River Hills. That is where we live. It is an older, gated community with mature trees, lots of birds and wild life. it sits on Lake Wylie and is a wonderful place for kids to grow up. Call the Lake WYlie Chamber of Commerce for more details.

If you have not signed up with a realtor and you are in Hartford County, esp. if in West Hartford, and you need a recommendation, you can send me a DM. She was pretty good...and we had already moved to Charlotte when the house sold.
