We are looking for a July delivery date too. We had predrywall meeting last week, things seem to be going well, I just hope the prices stay fairly bouyant in the next coupleof months so we can know we got a reasonable deal.

I agree that Oakton (by Heron Cove) looks like a great community. We are thinking of building there as well. We've looked at The Palisades and various communities on both sides of the border that offer good schools and a reasonable commute to Ft. Mill. Oakton is a Ryan community that is reasonably priced with a good location and only 41 homes.

I'm now going to be building a home in Oakton, and it looks like a few others on here have already done so. Can anyone who has built out there give any feedback on how the process turned out?

Mill creek falls is a great community.. In the Lake Wylie pilot it was rated the top plan communities. the pool is great!! The prices for the house varies. Best home builders build a great home. The school district for Mill Creek is Crowders Creek Elem. which I feel is the best school. I really like living here, it is quiet and a good community feeling.

Does Oakton allow homeowners to install fencing and private pools?

In Oakton they do allow homeowners to install fencing. It has to be black aluminum or iron that is 5 feet or less. Pools are allowed, but they must also have a fence for safety. I hope this helps.
