Default Established neighborhoods in Fort Mill/Rock Hill area

Hi all,

We are moving from Columbia to the Fort Mill/Rock Hill area and I was curious if you all know of any neighborhoods (created in the last 30 years, but not brand new) that you'd recommend. We are interested in trees, decent yards and very kid friendly. A nice place for them to grow up. A community pool would be great but not necessary.

Any thoughts? We probably want to stay under 250K if that's possible.

See if you can find anything about Swan Meadows in Rock Hill. It's where my fiance lived for 10 years with her parents and they are still there. Most of it is about 25 years old; nice trees. No pool though.

The Shandon area might be a good option. Most homes have large lots with plenty of trees. This is in Rock Hill.

Just some of the establised neighborhoods that I can think of right now (within your price range) in Fort Mill.

Old Orchard
Whitegrove/White Grove
Olde Williamsburg
Palmetto Plantation
Palmetto West
Knightsbridge/Knights Bridge (pool)

Good Luck!

I live in Whitegrove. It sounds like what you may be looking for. The homes are about 10 years old some brick some siding. Price range varies but you could find something in your range. We have LOTS of tree's common ground and walking trails as well as two ponds for fishing. Lots of kids and low HOA dues because there is not a pool. We do have many neighbors with pools and a few that are on the market now have pools. We are also close to teh Leroy Srings complex for swimming and I am about 10 minutes from Baxter Y. Wehn we were looking I found the Allen Tate web site helpful to look by neighborhood. Just go to Allen Tate Family of Companies and put in White Grove.

Thanks all, we are looking in several of those neighborhoods this weekend. I really appreciate the input. One other we thought we'd look at but hasn't come up here is Merryweather Farms. Does anyone know anything about it?

You know I started to put Merryweather Farms down..I know where it is located at....but I don't happen to know anyone that lives there...and since you were looking for recommendations...I just went ahead and left it off of my list...but it could be perfectly fine?
