Need a hotel room TODAY!!! (Rock Hill, Hampton: apartments, hotels, house)

OK. I was just informed that my friend and her family are coming to visit today!! She is one of my best friends from Oklahoma and her husband's family lives in Florida. So, they were visiting his family in Florida and decided to make a detour to see me on their way home! With all of that being said, they need a hotel room for the night. They will just hang out here until late so really it is just going to be a place to sleep. I offered for them to stay here but since we do not have enough extra beds, she opted for the hotel room. Can not blame her. I live in Whitegrove and would like to find her a room fairly close with simple directions. We live pretty close to 521 so I was even thinking Ballantyne but not sure she wants to pay Ballantyne prices. Also, was thinking Carowinds area but not sure how nice the hotels are in that area?? Rock Hill maybe??

Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!!

Hi Hipmama - Nicest area/places down this way in RH... Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, & Wingate hotels located at RH Exit 79 - Dave Lyle Blvd exit. There are a couple of B & Bs down this way, but those are not going to be as convenient.

The Courtyard in Ballantyne is about 20 minutes away. We stayed there when we came for our house hunting trip. I'm not sure of the cost, but I can't imagine that they would charge more than any other Courtyard....

I'm not sure whether they would want to venture in this direction or not, but the Comfort Suites on Centrum Parkway right across from Carolina Place is quite nice, and it's very reasonably priced. I stayed there when I found myself over here for a day completely by surprise looking at apartments.

I recommend the Hilton Garden Inn off of Dave Lyle Blvd in Rock Hill. Very clean and decent pricing!
