Default Best fireworks display in York or Lancaster county

This is our 1st year here for the 4th of July. We were wondering where the best fireworks are for the kids?

Thanks!

Besides what groove1 has mentioned here's a couple of other suggestions:

Tega Cay happens to have a really nice fireworks show (that is very kid friendly), it starts at 9:30pm ~ Just bring your lawn chair/or blanket and come sit on the lawn at the Tega Cay Clubhouse for the display. Tega Cay also became a city on the 4th of July...so to celebrate our country and the city of TC...there will be activities all through out the day.

I enjoy going out on the lake and watching the fireworks over the bridge, although traffic is HEAVY on the water before/after/during the show.... But it's worth it if you are comfortable with that!

We usually just sit in the front yard and have the garden hose ready. Because everybody and their brother is shooting off fireworks I don't want to leave my house. There is usually more than enough in the neighborhoods with the stuff people can buy nowadays!

Charlotte Radio Station NewLife 91.9 has a Family Night every year at Knights Stadium. This year it is next Saturday June 28th at 6:00. They have a concert and then an awesome fireworks show. There is an admission to get in but you can get lawn tickets for as little as $5 each. I just went to the website and there were some $5 tickets still available. New Life 91.9 - WRCM (broken link) We do this every year, We bring lots of huge blankets, get there early to get a good spot and let the kids play around. There are always kids playing everything from ball to frisbee on the grass areas. They have a variety of foods you can buy. They do not allow outside food. The Knights Stadium has some amusement park type rides also. Last year they did have these going. Of course, they are not free but did not cost a fortune either!
