Default Where can we get GOOD corn on the cob?

I know this is not a major issue, but we keep trying to find corn on the cob that tastes sweet!! We have been very spoiled with the corn in the north at this time of year. It has always been incredibly good!!

We now live in Rock Hill and would appreciate any hints as to where to go. Are their any farm markets that carry local corn? If so, please let me know and include some idea of where it is.

A guide to really good tomatoes would also be appreciated!

Thanks for any help you can give us!!

Go to the peach stand and get silver queen corn. The peach stand is in Fort Mill on 21 bypass and 160 --- they also have great meat.

Tomatoes, I am all ears on that one because they are hard for me to find - best ones I found are the Campanari ones at the grocers but they are high.

Thanks to both of you for your quick replies!

I have been in and out of the Peach Stand a lot since we rented in Fort Mill for almost a year. I never tried their corn, but will do that soon.

I have eaten their meat and I agree it is very good.

I will try the farm in Ballantyne also.

To the rest of you, keep the ideas coming!!

Well, it's a drive, but the Charlotte Farmer's Market has a great selection of fresh, most local, produce. I lucked onto corn freshly picked that morning.

You can also try the Rock Hill Farmer's Market, they had a sign recently for sweet corn. It is located across from Steak & Shake and Zaxaby's in Rock Hill, right off the exit of I-77.
