Smile Relocating to Rock Hill, SC or surrounding

We would like to know where to get information on the best public high schools in SC or NC. I'm also looking for information on desireable neighborhoods in SC, ( Lake Wylie , Rock Hill, Mint Hill). In NC I just heard a little about Ballantyne.

We just want a safe family neighborhood, where the homes hold their value and the schools are outstanding. I've tried searching the web, but I think I'm either not searching right or there's nothing out there to help me out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, no advertising or spammers please.

we live in Tega Cay (very safe...and of course I might be a little biased but I feel it is a very desireable area), SC (next to Fort Mill)..children attend Fort Mill Schools (they are very good and we have been very pleased). We are between Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC. We are close to Clover, SC (Lake Wylie)...Mint Hill would be located in NC. My folks live in Ballantyne/South Charlotte area. If you give me some more info (like price range, size of home, or lot size) I can try and help you out.

Default SOUTH or NORTH CAROLINA ????

Three days ago...we drove from Sarasota,Fl to Charlotte looking for a CONDO or Apartment near Charlotte. ( Chasing our grown kids and their families )...We drove around Mooresville, which we did not like at all, Stayed in Huntersville, which is way too busy for us. the next day we drove around SE Charlotte, and found we liked the MATHEWS area. We had previously priced apartments there, while still in Florida, only 2 weeks ago. When we found one we liked, we sat down with the renting agent and his price list was $120.00 more per month ?????I showed him , his ad that had a much lower price and his response was..."some realtors got together and raised the prices only 2 weeks ago" ???...now we drove there for NOTHING??sooooooooo
now we are going south...to ROCK HILL SC !!!.....we found a nice neighborhood , and that will be our next destination ( so far ).

any views on this ????....Tom
