We moved to the area about 2 years ago and we love the area! If you are interested in a nice community that is close to 77, you should check out Seven Oaks. Contact Weichart Realty Rock Hill for more info.
I can't believe you are questioning the area if you are currently living in DC. Our very close friends live there, and they are also trying to escape the madness.

Who lives in DC? were from long island NY. I heard to stay away from parts of
rock hill and the schools are not as good as Indian land. I was down there but I didnt have enough time to see the area. I had to rush back home. But I did drive through Millwood Plantation DR horton homes. I noticed many homes for sale in that sub division . Dont know what to make of it. houses only 2 or 3 years old for sale?

I was born and raised in Rock Hill and now live in Fort Mill. There is nothing bad at all about Rock Hill. Just nothing special either. The schools aren't bad but they aren't great, not really much to do, no good restaurants, etc. I know Fort Mill doesn't have those things either but at least we are little bit closer to areas that DO have them and we have the perks of a small town as well.

^I think Rock Hill is getting much more variety in terms of eateries. It's very possible to get a good meal at a restaurant without going to Charlotte.

I did notice in the millwood area it appeared to be a up scale area. nice stores opening and a sit down deli i think it was called McAllisters. Hopefully they will build some nice restaurants to go along with the area

Yes, more is coming to that area. I actually heard that a Carrabba's will be coming to the area between Millwood Plantation and the Food Lion at Herlong and Ebenezer.
