Exclamation AT&T (Comporium) Wireless Signal Dropped to Unusable in Rock Hill

I live right of outside Rock Hill south of Hwy 5 off Eastview. I have AT&T and my signal used to be very good inside my house. Starting around June 1st 2009, I couldn’t get a good signal even outside. All my neighbors have Verizon and their signal has always been bad, but I used to have almost full bars with AT&T but now I am lucky to get one. I have tried this on all 3 phones on my account and they all suck the same

Has anyone else recently had the same problems?

I live in Fort Mill and get a very weak signal with AT&T. I get dropped frequently too. Even at my office in Charlotte, which has a strong signal, I get dropped all the time. The service is far from reliable.

Is there something going on with cell phone service in general around here? I'm near Indian Land and over the last 2 weeks my Sprint service has been the pits. I have never had a lot of bars in the house, maybe 1-2, but the last couple of weeks everyone complains that when I talk to them I am constantly breaking up and the phone is constantly going in and out of roam, which sucks up the battery big time.

My contract runs out the end of July and I'm probably going with Verizon. Hopefully they are better.

Default Wireless Issues - Comporium

Hey,

As this was posted about problems with Comporium wireless service on Eastview Rd, our technicians were out replacing a faulty radio card in the site serving most of Eastview Rd.

If this didn't correct the problem, let us know. Or if there are other issues with Comporium or AT&T service in York or Lancaster counties, please contact us.

Best way to get an immediate ticket created is via our 24x7 call center: 326-7765 or 866-922-5922. Our people will ask for specific information to help our technicians drill in on the problem, isolate it and fix it.

I can assure you these reports are reviewed and addressed by our customer contact personnel, technicians, engineers and management.

If anyone wants to know about our services, plans, coverage area or other, our offices will be glad to help out- but of course.

Thanks,
Stephen

Btw, we should be adding 3 cell sites in 2009 in the Fort Mill area to beef up our coverage.

If there are issues in Fort Mill, a call to 866-922-5922 will get us on it.

Stephen

Will any of those 3 new towers help out the Doby's bridge road area ? Anyone who doesn't live right on the ridge Doby's bridge runs along gets horrible service from all the carriers.

I like these questions - because I have good answers!

Comporium is adding wireless coverage in Doby's Bridge area @ Holbrook Rd probably by Labor Day. Not sure of the exact area/road/development off Doby's you need though.

3G in Baxter- We're hoping to get approval to build a new tower near Lowes to fortify coverage in-building around Baxter and add 3G to it in fall, hopefully October. You may get some 3G coverage in late July though from existing sites in dense areas being upgraded to 3G then.

Thank you Stephen,
We're in Domion Bridge, an extra tower out here would be great. Will it be 3G?

We're in Dominion Bridge also. We have Verizon cells and the service is so bad they offered to let us out of the contracts with no charge. I'd love to know that good cell reception might be on the way. Will you be covering the Dominion Bridge area?
