Yes, for the Indian Land (Lancaster Co.) portion of Fort Mill the new zip will be 29707 effective July 1. The other zips will remain the same.

Hi lukepoke,
Lake front would be fabulous, I'm just not sure if we could afford it. My sister really likes the idea, but I'm afraid it would be a tiny house then. We are looking in the $300 - 325 range. We visited for a week early April and really liked the area. We loved the David Weekley model in Baxter, but the price was a bit too steep for us. We missed Sutton Place while we visited and are wondering if it is close to Baxter and Tega Cay (where we'd like to be as it is close to Fort Mill HS and church). I guess we could re-consider the Reserve or a resale.
Thanks for asking!

hey there Miss Gayle If you can find a lakefront in the price range of $300-$325...that is going to be one heck of a long line to try and get that house (course I'll be the one right in front of you in line!)
I received your PM and will get back to you shortly

Sutton is near BAXter
To answer your question Sutton is right down street (1-2 min) from Baxter. Lots are tight and hilly but I think when compared to Reserve they are bigger and the houses are nicer overall. When compared to BAXter they are not as close and most of them have more yard (although some only have front yards).
Good Luck

Gayle, Sutton Place is a really nice community and the homes are all being built by Ryan Homes. They are one of the best production builders in the Charlotte area. I've had great luck with their product. I have they Ryan Colville model with a bonus room/bath. It is a really nice split bedroom ranch, right around 2200 SF. It should be right in your price range at Sutton Place. I dont think they advertise it there that much, they mostly build two stories, but they will definately build it for you.

Lancaster County elected officials seem to be slow to react. Lancaster is the only county which touches Charlotte/Mecklenburg county which has not put an online GIS system in place. Zoning is a relatively new phenomenon, so you find mobile homes next to high end houses.
Point: They're reactive, not proactive. Seem not to want to try to get ahead of the infrastructure needs based on the aforementioned 15000 homes planned.
Looking in my "crystal ball", I foresee traffic gridlock and declining quality of life.
Don't move to "rural" Lancaster south of Charlotte expecting that to continue unless you locate 15+ miles south of the SC line.
