Default Saw a great home in Lancaster

Saw a home I would have purchased. Problem is its priced very high but in a Lancaster area with all other homes priced $300,000 less. I mean the home is stunning!!!!! Everything I wanted. Guess I have to go back up to Ft. Mill to look.

That sounds odd as Lancaster is usually cheaper than Fort Mill....Hmmmmm...I show quite a bit in these areas and have noticed otherwise. Jen

I'm curious as the where the house is located. Can you say?

Surprisingly, Lancaster is getting a lot of developments with very expensive homes located in the them.

Have you seen/heard of the Edgewater area? It is on the river, going to have a PGA golf course, shops and everything. Basically a new town within the county.

Default Home

Was in Forest Hills development. $599,000 for a very nice home with small pool and hot tub. On both sides were homes valued at around $200,000 each and the neighborhood had many others on 200 range. Built by an archetect who did a GREAT JOB.

Forest Hills is a nice "older"/established neighborhood. The older homes are priced a lot lower then the newer ones.

Actually, the City of Lancaster and its surrounding area seems like a good alternative for workers in the south of Charlotte who want to live in a small town atmosphere on larger lots for less money. As of now, the commute is not bad, though it is bound to get worse. Indianland and Fort Mill are destined to be very urban, with small lots and lots of congestion. Lancaster is likely to stay small town for a long time. I've noticed several really nice developments just north of Lancaster with lots of new homes at cheaper prices than IL/FM--maybe worth checking out.
