Default Trash Pick Up Service in York??

Can anyone recommend a trash pick up service? I live off Allison Creek Rd. in York (south end of Lake Wylie). I've never had to "select" a trash service. I've always had city pick up. When you hire a service, do they provide trash and recycling cans? What do you pay for your service per month which the different companies?

Thanks for any info and/or opinions you can offer.

I live in Autumn Cove and we can pick from D&D Sanitation or Select Sanitation.
I use D&D. $66 for 3 months, trash + recycle. They provide the trash can, you provide the recycle bin.
I would guess they serve your area, just call and ask.

If you live near Allison Creek, you can just take your trash to the dump. Its like a mile away and its free.

I just started service w/MorningStar. They were very nice on the phone and dropped off a large can. 324-2966 and $66 for 3 months as well.

Hmmm... I guess I hadn't considered that some companies might not pick up recycleables. Morningstar does not pick them up in my area.

Another question... since recycleables are often NOT picked up, is recycling mandatory? What items get recycled? Do all items have to be kept separate... cans from bottles, from newspapers, from plastics?

Where I live now (in Ohio), we don't even separate our recycleables from the regular trash. They are separated out at the trash facility (supposedly).

Thanks

I plan on keeping my recylcing seperate and dropping it off at the local drop-off center. It stays better in the garage than regular trash if I forget to take it.
