Hair Salon
Looking for a hair salon. I tried a place in uptown Charlotte, but what I don't like is that they charge you by the level of experience of the hairstylist. A senior stylist charges more than a junior stylist, but I feel like I am not getting the best service with a junior. I am originally from NYC and up there you pay a set price no matter who does your hair. I know things are different out here, but can anyone recommend a nice, modern place that charges a set fee.

My wife went to a nice place on Main St, Rock Hill this weekend and really like it. It wasn't cheap ($35 before tip), but nice people and great cut. I think it's "Kuttin Up" or something close to that. I go to Sports Clips if that helps.

Samana, what are you talking about? NYC is the fashion capital of the world and if anything you pay top dollar for the experienced stylists. You don't walk into Bumble & Bumble and expect to be charged the same price if you get the owner as opposed to a beginner stylist. I have lived in NYC all of my life and have been to many high end salons and they all charge according to experience.

I go to His and Her hair salon in Rock Hill...only $16 for just a cut (ask for Marilyn!) If you're looking for a little more upscale, there is also a place called Salon Naman in Rock Hill.

I got a recommendation from someone at work for a salon in Gastonia. Gastonia is just a couple of minutes from where I am in Clover so it worked out pretty good. The girl who did my hair did an excellent job - I was very impressed. I think I am more satisfied with her work on my hair than I was with my stylist on 5th Avenue! Thanks for your responses.

My experience was horrible at this place. Sarah must not have been there
when I had my appt. My stylist had poor people skills and the cut was just so - so.

I LOVE my hairdoo from LIVING ART!!!
What? I also went to LIVING ART in Fort Mill and LOVED my hair and service. They were reccommended by a friend and I am so glad that I went. I have only heard awesome things about that salon from neighbors here in Baxter.
