You did not miss anything. Not much to Rock Hill and not very impressing.

I've lived in Rock Hill since 1994 after living in Charlotte 13 years. I am originally from Nashville, TN, so therefore I am a city girl. I have learned to adapt to the small town living and love the acreage that we have; nothing you can find in Charlotte. When I want to go shopping, and if I can't find it in Rock Hill, Charlotte is very close and so is Columbia if you want to head south. Any time we want a night out, we usually head to Charlotte although RH is beginning to get some quaint restaurants. I will have to say, SC is a little behind the NC schools, but didn't seem to hurt my children in heading to and doing well in college. We will retire on our little piece of Heaven here in Rock Hill.

Thanks RedHatQueen for your contribution to this thread. Name some of the "quaint" restaurants.

I'm not sure I'd say the SC schools are behind the NC schools, at least not in York County. I'd assume the curriculum is the same at all the York County schools, and when we moved to SC from Charlotte our daughter was behind on some grade-critical skills - she had to catch up on the last 4 weeks of school in order to "pass".

If you live in Charlotte, you will have CMS. It gets no worse than that.

Hey now, CMS has some excellent schools mixed in. The really bad thing CMS has is an unweildy administration.
