It was "muey caliente" yesterday. 119 in Woodland Hills (LA)! We still have cloud cover, msn weather says it's 80 with 76% humidity. We were praying yesterday that we wouldn't have a black out, would have been miserable with out air con. Today when the thunder and lightning started the electricity started flickering on and off. So far so good.

My place in SW Charlotte didn't lose power. I slept through the storms after going back to MN for my car and driving 20 hours straight back to Charlotte.

It didn't get as bad as the weather channel kept warning us about (the 60 mph winds did not occur)...although we did get a large amount of lightning and thunder, and a good dose of rain (for a couple of hours)....just enough to mess up our outdoor plans.

You can lose power still. Thanks for much for keeping me informed. That's what really scares me about the area.
