what a great idea! will you please PM me with the details? Like what river you are going on, and what rafting company? I live in another neighborhood but it would be fun to do something like that here! I like your initiative.

HI-For some reason my browser ( ?) makes it really hard for me to open my PM's so I hope you do not mind if I put the info here.

It is the US National Whitewater center just outside the city www.usnwc.org They have several things to do there other then rafting. They have mounatin bike trails, rock climbing etc.. There is a place to eat and a bar as well as showers etc.

For the Whitewater rafting they have several runs. You go down one with a guide then they bring you to the top via conveyer belt and then you go down another. Trips are about 2 hours long and cost $33. We are going to do the trips and then have dinner.

Good luck with your planning. I am a real out and about type person which in addition to great neighbors made my move awesome. I am hoping this trip and some kid get togethers I want to plan for the neighbors will help others feel as positive about the area and neighborhood as I do. Good word of mouth not only makes you feel good but can also help raise home prices if you live in a desired neighborhood- or at least it was that way in PA.

That, I have to say, is another great thing about this neighborhood. Lots and Lots of really great babysitters.
