Description: Something about water parks is irresistible to kids, so when you toss out the idea of a day at Knott’s Soak City, the suggestion is sure to be met with cheers and shouts of approval. Even if adults don’t like to admit it, they get a kick out of water parks, too. It must be that combination of warm sunshine, cool water, and knowing your kids are having an excellent time.You’ll find body slides, tube slides, a giant wave pool, a four-story interactive family play structure, and a scaled-down structure for younger children.There are picnic areas and junk-food stands as well as changing rooms and pay lockers. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, it’s open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It’s closed from the end of September until April. Otherwise it’s weekends only from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Adults pay $27 (SoCal residents pay $22); kids age 3 to 11 pay $15. Summer season passes cost $75 for adults and $45 for children. Parking is $7.00.
