Address: 3076 95th Dr.

Description: Magnolia Music & Events puts on the best folk music festivals in North Florida, hands-down. Enhanced by the bucolic setting of Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, SpringFest draws the best in Americana or grassroots music, a rich blend of new and traditional folk, bluegrass, newgrass, roots rock, alternative country, singer/songwriter, rhythm and blues, Cajun, and Celtic music, plus a few indefinable hybrids.Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park sits about an hour outside of town on 580 wooded acres on the banks of Florida’s Suwannee River. Plan to camp, especially if you like to fall asleep to the sounds of jam sessions coming from neighboring campsites. The park has plenty of sites available with complete facilities for both RVs and tent campers. Along with the camping, the park offers nearly 12 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and nature exploring. Bring along a fishing pole and drop your line from the dock on Rees Lake. Rent canoes and bikes at the on-site canoe outpost, and if the weather’s not too chilly, nearby Suwannee Springs offers great swimming. If camping’s not your thing, the nearby town of Live Oak offers enough hotel rooms that you can hang with the music all day long and still sleep on a real bed in an air-conditioned room at night. Visit the Web site to purchase tickets for a single-day, the full festival, or any variation in-between. Look to the October section for the listing for the sister festival, MagnoliaFest.
