Description: Capron is a darling little zoo (just 8 acres) that is a surefire hit for families with younger kids. Admission fees are low, too, making this a family entertainment bargain. Although small, Capron has all the regular zoo residents including monkeys, kangaroos, and leopards. Hands-down the highlight here is the lion exhibit, which features Ramses, a rare white African lion. In recent years the zoo has worked to upgrade its facilities; its water playground Splashpad Playspace is a popular draw in the summer—don’t forget the kids’ bathing suits and a towel.
