Accommodations - Baltimore, Maryland

Accommodations

Baltimore has had, and continues to have, a thriving hospitality business since the port city was established. Whether you’re looking for a bed-and-breakfast, posh or merely functional, unique or cookie-cutter, you’re pretty sure to find it here. Some properties are old, some are new, and some are new that have been crafted from old. As an example, the Springhill Suites on Redwood Street occupies the old Manufacturer’s Building and Trust bank building (that survived the 1904 fire). Rather than trying to remove the huge vault from the basement, it’s been furnished to provide what should be one of the most secure board meeting facilities anywhere. The Monaco hotel sits in the old B&O Railroad building and proudly shows and uses the two large marble staircases.

Baltimore has at least 85 hotels, motels, and other accommodations with about 10,000 rooms within comfortable distance of the convention center.

You may assume that any property mentioned allows service animals, is ADA compliant, and does not allow smoking in most, if not all, public and private areas. Unless otherwise noted, parking includes all in-and-out privileges, but the fees cited are before tax. Wi-Fi or Internet access should be available in all hotel chain properties and most individual hotels.

When available, each listing includes the local and toll-free phone number, an Internet address (URL), a price estimate, and anything that make it special.

Baseball fans may want to try to find where the visiting team is staying to catch sight of your favorite player and possibly ask for a photo and autograph. For years, most of the teams stayed at the Marriott Inner Harbor and the Cross Keys before that. They seem to have moved to the InterContinental these days. You’ll find that there are always one or two teams that stay elsewhere. Don’t be obnoxious when you approach the players and please realize the players may not be too friendly after the game if the Os won.

The hotels are listed alphabetically inside the downtown area (including Fell’s Point, Federal Hill, etc.) and then alphabetically outside. There is a separate listing of hotels in the BWI Marshall Airport hotel zone and nearby Arundel Mills.

Following hotels are listing of Bed and Breakfasts found in Baltimore’s neighborhoods. Staying at a B&B is one of the best ways to feel like an instant Baltimore Insider!
