Description: Founded in 1896 as an independent institution, Wingate is coeducational and offers bachelor’s degrees in 40 majors and graduate degrees in business, education, and physician assistant studies. Students can also earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Doctor of Education degree, At the school’s satellite campus in Matthews, students earn undergraduate degrees in business, communication, and human services, or graduate degrees in business administration and education.Wingate has 2,159 students with a student-to-faculty ratio of 13 to 1 and all classes are taught by professors. The school’s pioneering international study/travel program has made it possible for thousands of students to travel and study abroad.
