Description: Ghost Ranch in Santa Fe, located only 3 blocks from the downtown Plaza, is a nonprofit educational center that presents a wide variety of workshops, classes, conferences, and special programs for the general public, as well as for seniors in association with the international Elderhostel organization. It is affiliated with the Ghost Ranch Foundation’s educational center in Abiquiú, about 45 miles north of Santa Fe, which offers similar learning opportunities to individuals and groups. Both centers also work closely with other nonprofit organizations, along with schools, churches, and corporations, in devising or hosting custom programs and specialized retreats. Typical classes at Ghost Ranch focus on making art, writing, regional history, Native American culture, spirituality, photography, gender studies, creative aging, music appreciation, art history, and personal growth. Course catalogs are available by mail or online. Guest rooms are also available for nightly rental at reasonable cost.
